About Me

Education and understanding... and to have a lot of fun along the way

I live on the beautiful Salt Spring Island in B.C., but I'm a Winnipeg (Manitoba) girl at heart. I know how to curl, and how to dress for -50 weather.
I'm a very social person and enjoy meeting new people and having a good time.
I work and play hard, and an extremely ambitious. I also like perogies.

That's way too deep for me to come up with right now...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I'm not yet ready to take the plunge and have someone stay on my couch, I'd love to meet for coffee or a drink sometime. I can also likely help you find a cheep place to stay on the island and make a fantastic tour guide.

I'm a novice

Music, Movies, and Books

I just saw Bon Cop, Bad Cop, and I liked that one. To continue with the Canadian theme: Stars, Broken Social Scene, Metric, Luke Ducet... As for books, Margaret Atwood is one of my favs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?
Yesterday, I hiked through snow up a mountain and into a garry oak meadow. I stared out at the ocean and chatted with some good friends while sharing a hot beverage mixed with Bailey's. Yum yum.
Being there for a friend you love no matter what is also pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you slap a smile on your face and skip down the road, odds are you won't stay unhappy for long.
Your family is the greatest resource you have, don't underestimate them.
Don't be afraid to call up (or e-mail) old friends out of the blue; they're likely thinking about you, too.
