Working on my PhD at the beautiful Lake Constance, in which I try to optimize the detection of a natural occuring cyanobacterial/algal toxin in humans to be able to properly calculate the actual risk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people while getting around.

This USA-trip is actually my first trip on which I use couchsurfing, so I am "new to the field" of couchsurfing. But as a lot of people had so nice experiences getting to know new people while abroad I thought it is definitely worth a shot.

Interests

As a scientist I like to always find something new. Ranging from places to small pieces of information which bring me further in my research.

I love going to concerts or festivals where I can relax while listening to my favourite bands surrounded by a bunch of friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always tell people who ask for my taste in music: "guitars have to be in there, no matter how many or if they are acoustic or electric". This mainly concentrates on rock and metal music but I am open minded in this subject :)

My favourite author is definitely Terry Pratchett, especially his Discworld novels!
