Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I have had an account for a while I am quite new with couch surfing and definitely is taking me a while to figure out the website ... hence very often i see requests after they have expired :( hope thats all down to me being a technophobe.
Right now i am going travelling so i hope to participate as a surfer in Canada and the states.
So far everyone i have met through couchsurfing has been absolutely lovely, friendly and great to talk to ... great to know how many positive people there are out there.
I would like to think that the list of my interests is never ending, as there is always something waiting there for me to discover and enjoy. For now, I love cycling, hiking, swimming, paragliding, dancing, yoga, reading, live music, the sun, theatre, knitting, camping, and so on, and so on :)
Music, Movies, and Books
There are way too many good films, songs and books, to be able to list all of them. I can tell you the song I am listenning at the moment :) Ayo Life is real, the last film I saw - Gloss, by Andrei Konchalovsky (had the chance to meet the director before the screening :), the book I am reading at the moment - The Conquest of Happiness B Russell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is a very difficult question, especially when I tend to think that the most amazing thing is the one that is to happen, not the one that already happened. I've definitely felt awestruck when paragliding in the Bulgarian mountains, in the region I am originally from. In wasn't only about flying, although I absolutely love this, it was more about the place and the sun, and the memories that this place brings back to me, and the sad feeling of never going there again. One of the best days in my life :)
More from cultural and educational point of view, the second experience I am choosing to share is the day I spent travelling around Thibetian monasteries in the Himalayas. Would love to go back there and actually spend some time living with them, rather then just touristing. Amazing people, amazing culture - a place I would recommend to anyone.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a bit of dancing, have done ballet, folk dances, contemporary and swing before ... so if you have an old pair of dance shoes, take them out :)
