About Me

slowing down the pace of everyday life

We are two curious travelers from Berlin, Germany, who - too young to settle down - leave their beloved hometown for a one-year trip to the USA and Canada. We are open-minded, friendly and easy going and we appreciate cultural diversity and seeing places of the world other than offered by a tourist guidebook.

We love traveling, meeting new people and seeing new places.

Stella would like to become one day when she is big a theatre director. She likes to stay sit in the cinema chair until the credits have ended and the lights go on.

Flo will probably take courses in literature and social and cultural anthropology next year. Books open the world. If you host us, he might write you a poem that is nor good nor bad. He likes to eat desert first and consumed about thousand scoups of ice cream last year.

Both are environmentally conscious, would rather take the bike than the car and try to cover as much distance possible by hitchhiking and trainriding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lower Manhatten s sparkling skyline at night
Montreal s skyline at dawn
empty rows in New York s supermarkets and people hamstering food and water before Irene "hit" the city
went to the Laurentides to see leaves of maple trees turned fire red, yellow and brown like rust during the Indian Summer
living on a greyhound bus for three days crossing Canada
skiing in the rocky mountains

Teach, Learn, Share

how to make a delicious vegetarian patatine
how to knit
to feel vital starting your day off with the Sun Salutation
