Current Mission
At the end of January I will be spending 3 months working to develop SME's in Ghana.

I am currently fundraising and to raise a bit extra I have moved out of my rented accommodation. The money I save is being donated to Challenges Worldwide. So far I'm up to £350 with another month saving to come..

About Me
Born to hippy parents I was bought up on the philosophy of always say yes.

The first years of my life involved many building sites, moving around the UK and just about sea worthy boats. Having got through that it was decided that we would move to rural France where my parents lived an eco-friendly life.

Off I went to french primary school where I sat in complete immersion and complete incomprehension for 3 months before one morning realising I could both understand and speak! No effort at all!

I adopted the French way of life and an undeniable attachement to cheese and wine but by the time I was 18 I was wanting to see something other than rural France. I left to move to Germany for the summer meeting a tonne of new people and many more new ideas and ways of life. Since then there has been no going back.

I have worked, studied and travelled around part of Europe and I can't wait to cross more life experiences off the list. Most recently I moved to Sheffield to work with a biotech company who work to develop alternative methods to test new medicines - our ultimate goal is to save both animal and human lives.

How I participate in Couchsurfing
I am looking for couches to surf while traveling. I am also looking forward to hosting at my place in Annecy this Spring, we are in the beautiful French Alps 2 minutes from the Lac d'Annecy. Avid skiers, snowboarders, hikers and general outdoorsy people come our way!

I claim to be good at Basketball, Sailing & Horse Riding... the point being that I have been doing all 3 for a very long time and they continue to put a big grin on my face.

I love languages. Seriously. Teach me anything except the swear words, I prefer to just be able to say Hi!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Hiking along the Dune du Pilat that over looks the bay of Arcachon to spend a night watching the stars from the top of the tallest sand dune in Europe.

Sailing around Thailand for 3 months and playing cards with the local fishermen whilst waiting for a catch.
