CURRENT MISSION

I am currently studying abroad in Cheltenham England. We get a 3 week spring break, during which I am traveling to Italy, SPain and Morocco! I want to see all that I can and experience other cultures as much as I can in the short time I have to travel.

ABOUT ME

I am 20 years old and a sophomore in college currently doing a semester abroad in England. I play field hockey and horseback ride. They are the two things I could talk about for hours! I am very friendly and I love to meet new people, travel, and do fun things. I also talk.. a lot. Or so I am told. I love to laugh, and like to think I am pretty fuuny. I am a very caring person and i put 100% of my heart into everything I do.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for living. To me living means doing waht makes me happy. I want to do everything! I wan tto see everything! This world is such an amazing place, and I don't want ot get stuck in my life in Suburban America when I know there are so many other womnderful places to visit and learn about. I love traveling because I get to see all the amazing things the world has to offer. I think that it is also important for me to do as much as I can to help make otehr people happy as well. That is why I dedicated hours each week to volunteer work, and why I pay close attentions to people's feelings so I can support them and help make their life even just a little bit better. I can only hope that I continue to meet people who are willing to do the same thing for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new, so I have yet to really participate at all, but I think, especially in the future when I am out of school, I would love to not only surf, but provide other travelers with a safe place to stay.

None! Hopefully I will be surfing very soon!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music... really anything except music that is not really music and more of a scarry man screaming.
Books, I am a sucker for romance novels. Movies, I tend to like silly chick flicks and kid movies. Finding Nemo is on my list of all time favorite movies. haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I am doing something amazing right now! I am studing in another country, an ocean away from all my family and friends, in a country with different customs and sayings, and getting to see many amazing things. Stonehenge, countless cathedrals, mountains in Ireland, ancient castles. All things that dont even exist in America, and that until now only existed as pictures in school books. Now I get to see them in person. I took a leap coming here, and it just gets better every day!

Teach, Learn, Share

Right now I am very much in the learning stage. I want to learn all that I can about each place I visit. I think the best way to learn is to experience it with someone who knows the culture already and can explain what is going on and why.
