About Me
Hi, I am from Canada, but I am currently living in Vietnam. I am an English teacher and taught for 1 year in North Vietnam last year. This is my second year in Vietnam, but now I am living in the South. I love to play music (guitar, piano, percussion), I am an avid reader and I enjoy doing creative writing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I feel most free and at peace when I am traveling. I love to meet locals, learn new languages, try new foods, and share stories. Couchsurfing is a great way to connect travelers to the locals and I look forward to meeting many different people and learning about their unique experience in life!
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Anything by Kurt Vonnegut, Ishmael, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Sorrow of War, The Tale of Kieu, -just to name a few.
Music: I enjoy Jazz (Miles Davis), classical (Beethoven), Blues (Robert Johnson), Metric, Pink Floyd, A Tribe Called Red, among others. I am always up for new music and I love to check out the music scene wherever I am.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am always up for an adventure whether it is exploring the wilderness in Canada or traveling across Vietnam.
Teach, Learn, Share
Studying is a hobby of mine, whether it's philosophy, art, or about different countries. When I travel or move to a new place I go into research mode!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can jam if you're into playing music, we can talk about literature, we can share stories. I am an excellent listener and would love to hear your story over a beer or a coffee!
