Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music and living in San Francisco allows me to see as much live music as I possibly want to. As far as the type of books I like I generally go for literature. I try to read all the books that the high school I work at assigns the students so I can help out my learning disabled students with their assignments. So that would mean I read a lot of classical literature which I really don't mind since I enjoy it as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working with Special Olympics and volunteering as an organizer for their sporting events. Also working with young adults with Autism. I mean I've traveled all over the world and yet these are things that means a lot to me. It's the most challenging thing I've ever done and yes it gets so frustrating when you teach them something and they don't get it, but when they do it's pretty incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a high school special education teacher working with learning disabled students and young adults with Autism. I teach pre-Algebra, study skills and Social Communications (for the students with Autism). I am also the Activities Director at my school and organize student government and activities such as rallies, Anti-Bullying Week, Drug Awareness Campaign, blood drives, Special Olympic events (soccer, basketball, track and field, a prom and a holiday craft workshop for the severely handicapped students, all school elections and 3 dances.
