Hi, my name is Stephen. I live in the city centre of Rotterdam which I think is one of the best places in Europe :). I have a great variety of hobbies from nerdy stuff like star wars, learning programming languages and playing chess, to typical male hobbies like playing soccer and hanging out in bars. I also have a great interest in music and movies so we probably won't be short of talking topics :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a couchsurfing beginner. I'm planning to go to Lisbon on my own for a week this year, which is the first time I'm travelling without companions. I think couchsurfing will be a good way to meet up with people and have a fun time :)

I really like a lot of different movies, music and books. Just to name some stuff

Movies: I have a great interest in movie history and love to see classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Godfather or Easy Rider. I'm also a big fan of David Lynch and the dutch director Alex van Warmerdam.

Series: Twin Peaks, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Fargo

Music: I can listen to Ennio Morricone albums, but also to The Strokes. I'm quite interested to learn more about Fado music whilst in Portugal

Books: The Innovators, 1984, Never let me go, The curious incident of the dog that was killed at night time
