Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am very extroverted & I'd prefer to meet new people rather than stay in a hotel. I have used Airbnb in the past and have (so far) no experience or references in couchsurfing. The two people I rented from in Airbnb, Darren and Rishee, left reviews saying "Steve and his friends were respectful guests. I would highly recommend them to be guests at your home", and ,"Great guests! Got the apartment back better than we left it!". I did not interact with them much beyond basic communication about the stay as we arrived and left, though. I hope to find people here, either with common interest or willing to teach and learn, that I can really connect with during my travel!

I have a lot of experience in theater, dance, and photography. I also knit & embroider as hobbies. Currently, as I am working towards my Queer Studies minor, I am doing a lot of research in that area.
