About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to explore the US and meet people from the various cutures throughout. Along the way I want to embarck on some great hikes, and take some memorable pictures.

ABOUT ME

My friends would describe me as someone they can confide in, someone they can have deep meaningful conversations with, and someone that is genuinely nice.

PHILOSOPHY

The most important part of life, is living it.

Interests

At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to make my life more "engaging". After college I backpacked through Europe for 2 months with 7 of my other really good friends and had a great time. Shortly after that trip was over I landed a respectable desk job, but it didn't fulfill me. Recently I read "The Art of Non-Conformity" and it has inspired me to search for a better alternative. On my free time I enjoy playing disc golf, riding my motorcycle, huge fan of Starcraft, and an amateur poker player.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two of my most memorable experiences came while backpacking through Europe on two amazing hikes. The first was in Cinque Terre, a string of 5 Italian villages that hug the Mediterranean coastline. It was a long rugged hike in the hot sticky heat of summer about 20 miles. There were huge inclines and descents with small paths leading down the enormous cliffs to the beautiful ocean below. Vineyards all around and people selling cheap vino. Each village had it's own unique mix of shops, restaurants, and houses carved into the steep hillside. There were breath taking views all along the way, and it was such a rewarding experience. The other hike came in Zermat, Switzerland when we hiked up Gornergrat to get the best possible view of the Matterhorn. We started at the base of the city early morning with conditions looking gloomy and headed for rain. We trekked up and up with a vague idea of where to go as the trail twisted and turned through thick tree cover. Eventually we made it to a beautiful meadow just above the cloud cover and about where the treeline ended. It was a perfect resting place for us to have lunch and one with the best view of the Matterhorn imaginable. We were able to capture the moment in one of my favorite pictures of the trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

It's often the things that we didn't do that we regret the most.
