Overview
About Me
I grew up in Portland, OR, went to RI for college, and have returned to OR for work in natural resources.
I am not very well travelled and there's a lot of the world I still want to see. One couch at a time.
My values are pretty progressive. Stuff I care much about include land conservation and social justice stuff in general.
I like to play and create music, read, drink a lot of tea, write and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Goals include surfing, being more present, being less selfish, play more music, save more habitat.
[Also I have short hair now by the way so don't freak when you see me].
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1. I love meeting new people. Couch surfing is the best way to get to know a community through the filter of local relationships.
2. To save money of course.
3. Help others when I am able to host.
4. I have specific needs for travel for my work - I have a field course I am taking for my work (a conservation planning course) in Roseburg, OR in June and Redmond, OR in July. Because I am an intern and technically not a federal employee, I don't get hotel reimbursement. : (. Thus I need somewhere to stay. This training is super important for my job though and I can't afford a hotel, so I would be very grateful for a place to stay!
