I've met a bunch of interesting people through Couchsurfing. It's a great way to get to meet people from different backgrounds, and to learn more about the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got stuck at the border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen when I didn't have the proper visa. (Main lesson learned: don't blindly trust Lonely Planet.) It was actually sort of fun, and an interesting way to experience China.
