About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am a good ol Wyoming boy looking for bigger and better things!

ABOUT ME

So as my mission suggests I am a Wyoming guy who is leaving the state to pursue a career in graphic design. I am moving to NYC on Oct 31st with hopes and dreams and plenty of ambition to get me there. I want to work my way up the graphic design totem pole and someday make a name for myself. This is also why I have joined this site. While I have savings, I still don't have an apartment or a job and need to conserve money where I can. I'm a laid back, easy going, open minded, trustworthy friendly dude just trying to figure out the next step in life.

PHILOSOPHY

I have always enjoyed the quote, "To each their own". To me this says that everyone is different and what works for on doesn't always work for another and that is fine. I have never understood why people are so adamant about trying to change others. Were all different but we can all learn from each other. Deep down were all the same. We all need food, we all have families and were all trying to live. Haha I'm not a hippie I just don't understand why differences are considered negatives in today's society.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couched surfed before but never new there was a site that was devoted to it. Pretty awesome I have to say. I have never had a problem crashing on my own couches when I had a place. Back in college my roommates and I had two (both separate occasions I will remind) of random drunks stumbling home from the bar, mistakenly coming into our houses and spending the night on the couch. While a normal person would call the cops, we always had sympathy. Hey no harm no foul, our house was always open to strangers. Being of the younger age, couch surfing just makes sense. No of use have huge houses but if its helping out a friend or making new ones that's worth it to me. Since I am now the one in need of a couch I hope I can others willing to open their homes as I do.

Interests

Graphic design, the arts, music, movies, anything creative and fun. I'm spontaneous and like to try anything new. If you aren't trying new things, learning about different cultures, ideologies, people, etc, you might as will be pissing into a mirror.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: all of them, I'm a huge movie buff and can talk forever about them.
Music: Everything, if you don't believe me my itunes library begs to differ. I'm always looking for new people to swap music with.
Books: don't have much time to read them... someday. I stick to forums, websites, articles etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just went skydiving this summer on a whim, that was pretty kick ass.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best way to learn and teach is through conversation. Specifically I have no idea what I can teach but I know that I have plenty to share. But if you need illustrator, photoshop, drawing, printmaking, screenprinting, photography, or conceptual help I can be of assistance.
