ABOUT ME

I'm a 26-year-old guy, I have a pretty good career going in a creative field but haven't really bought into the whole ties-and-business-suits mentality. I have pretty diverse tastes and a pretty goofy sense of humor. I get along fairly well with most people.

I don't have a car and don't really want one, so I pretty much want to be in an area where I can get whereever without one.

A couch would be great; a room would be better. I don't have any pets but am cool with dogs. I have allergies when it comes to cats, though.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what's in front of you; everything else is what you throw in front of life.

Oh, and I have a pretty cool metaphor about Grape Nuts that I should tell you about sometime if you're interested.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

All sorts. My favorite is Elliott Smith, and I sort of borrow a lot of my personal philosophy from him. But my taste is really diverse overall; my iPod is generally full of tropicalia, old-school indie rock, garage rock nuggets, uber-experimental stuff and, uh, Bright Eyes at any given time.

I don't watch much TV, but I like going to a lot of movies mostly for the social element of it. I watch a lot of fairly obscure fare and kept up with the awards season last year. Last year's best movie? "The Departed," with "Borat" a close second and "Thank You for Smoking" not far behind.

I don't read a ton of books (but lots of periodicals and blogs), but love stuff like Harvey Pekar and Chuck Klosterman.

I once saw a guy stick his arm up an old-school cannon. That was pretty awesome.

Also, I do a wonderful performance of "Screaming Infidelities" at karaoke. Ask me about it sometime.

I'm a graphic designer by trade, and I can offer a little illustrative or layout-type help if needed.

Also, I know how to play guitar, and have been playing for seven years. I promise to bring my six-string with me.
