About Me

To engage with the world as a practical mystic, a performer, and a nomad.

A traveller, a teaching artist, a conversationalist. I travel light and simple, love to learn, and stay true to my roots as a farm boy and the son of an innkeeper.

Keep Calm and Carry On.

"Love all, trust few, do wrong to none." ~Shakespeare

"It is not enough for me to ask questions; I want to know how to answer the one question that seems to encompass everything I face: What am I here for?" ~Rabbi Abraham Heschel

"The power of storytelling is exactly this: to build a bridge where everything else has crumbled." ~Paulo Coelho

"The only ones for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live." ~ Kerouac

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling, I prefer to couchsurf over anything else. I am based in Phoenix, AZ, and so am more than happy to meet up for coffee or otherwise be engaged with the community.

Couchsurfed now off-and-on since 2011. I've traveled a lot, and stayed in hostels, inns, and sometimes with a host family. It's also worth noting a grew up in an inn, so hospitality is in my blood!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a storyteller, so I guess you'll have to ask me in person. :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is not nearly as complicated as people sometimes want to make it. But it is complex, wonderful, and awe-inspiring. Seek out moments where you can have beautiful experiences, encounter amazing people, and all throughout find the place where you can express yourself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I am clean and respectful, and what I love most is a good conversation. Frankly, the main reason to couch-surf is to meet cool and interesting people. So I tried to offer the best of myself for my hosts.
