Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The first thing that comes to mind when one thinks about CS is cheap travelling. I agree, but as I have travelled and met people I began to appreciate the sheer possibility of talking to local people, eating their specialties, looking at the way they live, spend time and enjoy their lives.
For me the encounter with real people in their natural habitat is the very essence of travelling and this is the great opportunity that couch surfing can give.
And what I can give to people couchsurfing is showing my city, my customs, my ideas, my friends, and all that surrounds me.
My father taught me the CouchSurfing. Some ten years ago in the late 90s he met 2 stinky Swedish bikers on a bench in front of his (our at that time) house with a mission to cycle arround the Baltic Sea and knowing just couple of sentences and expressions in English showed them what a true Polish hospitality was. It seems that I have CS in my genes ;)
