Our mission is to help people visiting our country, providing the best possible option for a confortable and enjoyable visit.
We are both in our mid fifties, and enjoy the company of each other very much. We are just about to travel to England for a fortnight visit, and will be back mid September. We very much enjoy seeing new places and visiting and getting to know new people. We make friends easily, and enjoy doing so. We also love our city and would be glad to show people around and help them plan their visit within the country.
My personal philosophy is to make the best of life, trying to help others to understand and make the best of each others life. Gabrielas' thoughts are in the same line. We both believe in strong family bonds and that making friends is a gift in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We will participate as much as we can. We are willing to help people get around and get to know our country and that they get the right impression of our customs and our way of life. We would expect no less from those whom we eventually visit or stay with.
We have not had any personal experience in this sort of activity, but due to having learned how well our friend got on during her visit to the U.K., we decided that this was a chance to get involved with the international community.
We are both interested in sightseeing and getting to know new places and new people. We are very much dedicated to our home, upkeeping it and making it confortable for us and for those who visit.
Music, Movies, and Books
In the line of music, we are both in our mid fifties, so we enjoy all music related to the late sixties - Beatles, etc - but are open to all kind and sorts of music. We are also very enthusiastic in opera. We enjoy salsa, merengue, tango and whatever comes our way. Movies - mostly comedies and books we read little. Gabriela reads in Spanish´- latin american authors - and I do so in English.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We have managed to keep very much in touch with the different members of our families and friends who have in lots of cases emmigrated to other parts of the planet, and yet we keep maintain a very fluent contact with them all, despite distances and schedules and timetables.
Teach, Learn, Share
We are very anxious of learning of other peoples experiences. As residents here in Uruguay, we are very much in touch with all of what is going on in this part of the world, but are anxious to know what other peoples thoughts and experiences in their way of life.
