About Me

One day I realized that we don't have that much time left in this realm. I stopped taking my time for granted and began to make the most of the time given every day.

Later, I decided I should travel and explore foreign lands. The day I decided upon this, I felt like Christopher Columbus when he set sail for unknown land.

I feel most alive when I am adventuring. My first adventure was setting sail with a friend I met during freshman orientation to a fraternity house. Although it looked calm from the front doors, there is more than what meets the eye. After finding the back door and having a blast, the next morning we traveled back to the residence halls and let our roommates know. That was the beginning of the funnest time of my life: not because of the fraternity houses per se, but because of the new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hotels don't allow you to connect with people. This can be great if you're focused on work. But what if your work involves talking to other people and telling others of your experience - being a storyteller?

I'm here to connect with people, learn from their experiences, create my own, and share them with the community.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's no going wrong with Deadmau5. His music is perfect for visualization, working on your laptop, weightlifting, or any other individual activity.

The following movies are a must-see, and why? Rush taught me how to push my mental and physical effort with the idea that it may be my chance. Ultimate Rush taught me how to let go of the brakes on a bicycle, eliminate hesitation, and move on once I've made a decision. The Matrix taught me to do the thing and not think about doing the thing.

If you haven't already, read "How to Travel the World on $50 a Day or Less" by Matt Kepnes. It revived my interest in adventure and got me to book my flight to the Netherlands. "Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It" by Kamal Ravikant got me out of sleeping every day and propelled me to get my life back in order after a break-up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During a 5-a-side indoor soccer game, dribble really fast from the defensive third after recovering possession. A midfielder tried to tackle me but I retained possession of the ball and dribbled to their defensive third. Evading a defender, I then took a touch to the left, and stroke the ball before the goalie even had a chance to react. It went straight into the bottom left corner.

The best attacker on the other team told the midfielder, "he was going way too fast." It took them by surprise, even me - I didn't know I could accelerate and run that quick.

I turned into Lionel Messi for five seconds. I celebrated like Messi thereafter.
