About Me

To keep extending my lengthy adolescence

I've been a gypsy philosopher ... the eternal vagabond in search of the ideal. It's taken me many years to find that the ideal doesn't exist, but near enough is good enough these days.

Still learning new things and stretching my known boundaries. I like enriching conversation, moody cafes with great coffee, reading, learning, the arts, ecology, culture, films, spirituality.

I create digital narratives. Have a theory that telling each other our stories breaks down the separation and boundaries between people quicker than any peace march.

To maintain enthusiasm for life, culture, people, volunteering. I believe that you’re never too old to become younger.

There are no mistakes, only lessons

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS is one of life's precious gifts. It is soooooo much more than a place to drop. It is an experience that frequently leaves me teary and overjoyed. I'm so grateful that I can hook into that energy of trust and generosity that other CS's seen to exhibit in truckloads. It makes one feel bigger and better about oneself and the world. Having experienced the hospitality of strangers who have now become valued dear friends why wouldn't I give back.

Had an amazing time in Poland. Totally blown away by the kindness of strangers, whom I now consider as kin. This type of traveling is the antidote to the illusion of separation. We cannot exist without the other.

More recently traveled with another CS down the east coast of Australia. Again.... exquisite generosity and learning. I do try and explain this great opportunity to friends. They appear to be enticed by the story but cautious about the risks. Oh well... we can but try.

Music, Movies, and Books

books, culture and learning are essential to me. But I am earthed in people, connections, serendipitous events.

Teach, Learn, Share

I conduct personal development retreats using the expressive arts and meditation to access deeper states of creativity and wisdom.

I am a hypnotherapist, but utilize a range of complimentary modalities which are simple to learn and empower the individual.
