I have started photography as a passion for my leisure time. Eventually, the appreciation I have recieived from my friends (artists) provokes me to think to take photography as a profession. I have been travelling with my camera in India and Nepal for the last 6 years, since 2009. So I would like to call myself as autodidact with respect to Photography.
My training in philosophy, academically, did not help me to understand my own culture. In fact, I shifted my focus from philosophy to Cultural studies. Along with the theoretical understanding of culture, I started exploring Indian traditions through my camera. So I captured the essential features of Indian society like portraits, rituals and landscapes.
In order to verify myself the contents and qualities of my photographs, I have done few street exhibitions in India. The first street exhibition was in Darjeeling November, 2013, north east past of India, was a great success in terms of the appreciation from the viewers. Followed by this, I have done similar exhibitions in Sikkim,Varanasi,Goa,Gokarna,Rishikesh. The exhibition was entitled as ‘Whispers of Silence”
You may wonder or curious why I would like to carry the title ‘ Whispers of Silence’ for my photo exhibition. Personally I consider silence has been withering away from normal human life with the intervention of technology. Empty words have been encroached and overshadowed even the private life of a person. So recapturing the essence of silence is a creative challenge of an artist in the contemporary world. In order to recreate ourselves we must meditate upon the divine presence of silence, only through the audible silence where our senses can feel the presence of ultimate bliss of Nature provides us.

In 2014, I have done two solo photo exhibitions( Whispers of Silence) in Spain, Murcia (south part of Spain).6th September to 13th September.(El Ventorrilo),13th September to 20th September (Café – Bar El Sur)
In 2014,Ioannina, Greece,. Combined exhibition (Sujith Sydney & Angeliki Manta) was conducted by the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Ioannina. 20th October to 30th October.
