CURRENT MISSION

My current mission in life...to live! Well, actually, I want to lose 130lbs and go skydiving! In some country I have never been too! And then jump of a mountain and Hangglide...somewhere where there are mountains...prefferably!!! And to make new friends!

ABOUT ME

I fell in love with German in 6th Grade, and started saving money. My first trip was in 2005 with my High School German Class, then Summer 2006 I went to Study in Berlin for 3 weeks, and in 2007 I took a 3 month back-packing trip through Europe. This past year I studied the entire school year in Vienna, Austria. So basically...I am all about German/y/Austria. I love meeting new people and making friends while traveling, or just on the street outside my dorm. I currently volunteer as a Conversation partner with the Iowa Refugee Support Project, working with two Iraqi families to help them with English, be a great friend, hang out with and share cultures with. I love my two families!

PHILOSOPHY

Love everyone, accept everything, and judge no one. We are all the same, but completely different, and everyone deserves Respect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once I get my own place or move in with my Boyfriend and his demonic/angelic cats I would love to offer my/his couch! Once I get some funds built up (study abroad took all my money!) I will verrify my account here (via the donation?) if I understood that page correctly. I think this is a great program and love making new friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am in a Travel Writing class, and so many of the Students have written about their couch surfing adventures that I knew it is something I would love to do!

Interests

Well...German...German...German. Not just German, I promise! I love Art and going to museums and Science Centers. Reading is my favorite Hobby. I love to travel, once I get money saved up, and have a new list of countries to hit-up and old ones to visit again! I love animals, and cannot imagine a world without them, I'm kinda crazy that way...the reason I agreed to date my bf is because his cats love him! ... dorky and weird I know! But you have to EARN a cats love and respect, and they adore the guy. lol

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working with these Iraqi Refugee's, hearing their stories, getting to know their families, is one of the most amazing exp. I have had to date... all the other things...seem so little in comparison to what these amazing people have overcome.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Being 100% Accepting of all differences, and being non-judgmental and accepting of all cultures, religions and ways of life.
Learn: More cultures/Religions/Peoples/Ways of lives!!!
Share: My Gigantic Heart, of which I give a piece to everyone I meet :)I am not the type of person to dine and ditch, meaning I will stay in contact pretty much forever! I may not be able to write every day or every week, but I will always make an effort to stay in contact with people.
