This is me, Sunny, 18-year-old and growing. I've been to quite a lot of places when I was little, but I was so little that I hardly remember anything now! Plus, my parents planned out all the trips. Starting my college first year, I have decided to plan my own trips and start a travel blog to document my journeys!
- Will my plans work? We'll see.
- Will I keep the blog going? Hopefully.
- Would you like to meet up and possibly get an exciting story/photo in my blogs? You: YES!
You just read my not-updated-2017-version bio. I was gonna delete it, but then... I also kinda like how overly cheerful I sounded. Read on for an updated version-------
March 2018: My blog is still there, it's sunnyontheroad.wordpress.com, and you should follow it :) I'm transitioning to more of visual documentaries now - photography, filmmaking, and of course Instagram storying ;) Other than that, two other big passions of my life are dancing and languages. I've been learning ballet since 3, and even though I went through a phase where I felt embarrassed for knowing ballet - now I'm bringing it back into my life. I'm also teaching myself shuffling/cutting shapes, contemporary and popping. I'd like to believe that I have a good musicality and rhythm in my body because of that too.
As for languages - I was born and raised in China, so I speak Mandarin fluently. I'm also fluent in English and I'm majoring in Spanish. Guess what? I also know how to say "I'm sorry but I don't speak that language in 6 languages." Extra brownie points if you can guess which 6.
Hue this bio turned out longer than I expected. Well, when in college. You need to find out the rest when we meet :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm broke ;(
I'm also really interested in why people are willing to open up their homes to strangers. With my camera and my passion of visual storytelling, I would like to film my journeys through CouchSurfing and make a documentary out of it :D

They should have a favorite quote too, because I sorta have one at the moment: True happiness is not doing what you love, but loving what you do. I'm still trying to figure out what it actually means, but I like it. Thought I'd pass it on to you.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well... I guess having the courage to travel by myself is pretty amazing!
Still. Do. I'm a lone wolf without a pack. My only pack is my backpack.
Teach, Learn, Share
I mean... what do YOU want to learn from me?
I can show you the little things I picked up along the way (literally and metaphorically), like how to finish reading 40 pages while procrastinating (as in, what I'm doing right now)
What I Can Share with Hosts
(Hey, it IS something)
Sometimes, I might bring little snacks from China; if not, I'd be happy to cook for you. Not that I'm a great cook by any means - I improvise all of my meals and hardly ever use a recipe - but hey, I'm still alive and thriving. Guess my cooking isn't THAT bad after all.
