About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to tame my serious wanderlust...

ABOUT ME
California girl always on the move.

I love accents, learning about other cultures, and meeting new people, so chances are I love you already. My life and travels have taken me through 4 continents and countless countries and stories in between.

PHILOSOPHY

Whatever it is you’re seeking won’t come in the form you’re expecting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After a long time off Couchsurfing, I'm just getting started once again. Due to my roommate situation, I am unable to host but I am available to have coffee and show visitors around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky enough to couchsurf before in Berlin, Barcelona, and Copenhagen and had a wonderful time. (For some reason, my profile was locked for a while and my references are no longer on the site from what I can tell)

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I love way too many movies and music to count.

Some of my favorite artists are: Adele, Amy Winehouse, Robyn, Natalia Lafourcade, Queen, Miguel, Shakira (in Spanish), anything Motown, Edith Piaf, Ricardo Arjona .

Movies: Amelie, anything by Pedro Almodovar, L'Auberge Espagnole, Clueless, Bridesmaids, Y Tu Mama Tambien, A Very Long Engagement, Oldboy (the original), Muriel's Wedding, and many, many more.

As for books, I have a serious reading addiction (Fun fact: I learned English by reading romance novels). First and foremost, Pablo Neruda rocks my world. I also love: Anything by Haruki Murakami .One Hundred Years of Solitude, Love in the Times of Cholera, The House of the Spirits. This Is How You Lose Her by Junot Diaz changed my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Making my dream of living in Paris come true
-Seeing sunrise at Angkor Wat and exploring the temples
-Hiking up a volcano crater in Jeju, South Korea
-Parasailing over turquoise waters of Boracay, Philippines
-Doing the Dirty Dancing lift with the help of an Icelandic giant nicknamed Thor at 4am on my birthday in New Orleans

Teach, Learn, Share

Spanish, French, anything about Mexico and California, how to make a great guacamole, and salsa dancing.
