Establishing my international network around the world! =]
Well. Long story short. I'm a Taiwanese girl who was born and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. I went to Brazil for Rotary exchange for 1 year when I was 15, and went to US for the last two years of high school and college. I currently live in Portland, Oregon. A great city I have to say!
I love traveling, learning languages, learning and practicing different traditions and customs. If you have similar interests, congrats you're an awesome person! Just like me ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For now I'm looking for places to stay at different towns and learn about the particularity of the towns, be it historic, cultural, scenic or anything else! I am currently exchanging in France, so I can't really host people. However, after I get back to the States I would be more than willing to take people around and welcome them!
I actually haven't done any couchsurfing before. I have stayed at friends' place before on their couches or floor, but never through the couchsurfing website. However, I really love talking to people, listen to their experiences, and share my own experience! My experiences staying at youth hostels have all been pretty great and I'd love to go further than making traveler friends!
Languages of course! And definitely local traditional cultures and customs! Sports, nature, music. Lastly with a change of tone, the field of education.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love quite a wide range of music, except that I don't usually listen to rap cuz too many words get me crazy =P
I especially enjoy all latin music!!! Be it fiesta kind, salsa, bachata, mariachi etc~They just made me wanna dance! I'm not a good good dancer but I really enjoy it when the music is great =]
I also love Celtic music a lot~it's just so joyful and lively! Some of them are really calm and peaceful and I like that too!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Giving gifts to the Amazonians and receiving in return lots of hand-made jewelries. I couldn't help crying when I took the gifts, for what I gave them was so simple and small (daily usages things such as pencils, soaps etc), and their level of appreciation and what they give me was so big and full of sincerity.
