I am a 25 year old vagabond with a calling for adventure. I did my first big backpacking trip last year to India and I fell absolutely in love with the culture and experience to be somewhere completely unusual. After India I trekked 28 days to Mt Everest Base Camp with my hula hoop and a nice Scottish lad I met along the way. I've since traveled through Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Bolivia. The ocean is my favorite place to be in the world and I love love love to dance. I think we can get along through laughter and an open heart and mind.

I love to meet local people, and learn their ways of the world. One of the most important parts of any geography is the lifestyle and culture of the people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was at Carnival in Panama City and I spotted a hula hoop behind stage. I begged the security guard to let me use it, but by no avail. I kept my eye on it and a little later I saw some other guards playing around with it... I went up to the fence and asked if I could try it. They threw it over the fence and I started dancing and doing all my fancy footwork and flow tricks. I gathered a wee crowd. The guys behind the fence asked if I wanted to dance on stage! Of course I did! So up I went and hula hooped on stage in front of 1000+ people, all screaming and dancing on each other's shoulders. It was incredibly thrilling and I laughed and played, and it was so spontaneous that my heart just filled with joy. AHH! Heart flutters.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn languages, explore new places, hike, swim, do art and do yoga. I like learning trends of the human experience through the vast differences and similarities of socialization.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to contribute any way that I can: cooking, cleaning, housework, childcare, etc. I have lead a few yoga classes in some hostels, although I am not certified. I was encouraged to share my own practice with some peers and I really enjoyed teaching them what I know.
