HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I know the gutters and grime in 305 (Miami), as well as the bling and the vice. I know how to weave in and out of it all, seamlessly. I'd love to show anyone aroud this pseudo-metropolis for ghetto cheap :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once couch surfed in a dorm with cats. I was sick forever after. I will be sure to bring my Claritin next time. ^ ^

Books: The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradburry, Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger, Venus in Furs by Leopold Von Sacher Masoch, assorted coffee table books about fashion and astrology, and Close Range by Annie Proulx.

Movies: Apocalypse Now, Beauty and the Beast, Party Monster, The Science of Sleep, Heathers, Rebel Without a Cause, Velvet Goldmine, Wilde, Closer, Brokeback Mountain, Milk, and, last but not least, [my ex-pick-up line] But I'm a Cheerleader.

Music: Deftones, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Cure, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Mars Volta, Orgy, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Dirty Sanchez, Muse, Incubus, Aural Vampire-- but what is every one else listening to???? I heart goth and metal music right now.

Food: Penne alla Vodka, minus the bacon-- your everyday tofu-eating lact-ovo vegetarian lesbian. It's so much easier to tell you what things I don't like in food, cause I'm generally loving it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, I've taken to climbing public statues/ high-rise condo roofs with a partner-in-mischief, only to dangle my feet from these great heights and have the sky above us tell us that, for that moment, the world was made just for us.

I'm resource girl: I'm well-wired to organizations and people that get humanitarian things done-- or, can at least give a sweet discount. I sew, crochet, play piano, oboe, and English Horn.

I'm getting familiarized with access software and etiquette for the blind (JAWS/ Kurzweil). Bring me your broken computers and I may more than likely be able to fix them.
