About Me

I've been in Bali for 25 years and love living here. Creativity is my life's blood and what ever I do it has to be creative whether it's art, jewelry design, writing, cooking, photography. I'm a foodie - a slow foodie as well - and I write a recipe column for a bi-monthly paper.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet people, to hear their stories and while I can't host anyone because I live in my studio/office, I can still meet for coffee from time to time. I think Couchsurfing is a wonderful way to join people together and break down barriers by experiencing that we are all basically the same.

Interests

Reading, writing, cooking, homemade wine making, art, photography, jewelry design, deepening friendships, travel, and life in general. I'm interested in a dragonfly landing on my outstretched thumb, in a dove cooing in the distance, in orchids surprising me in the garden, in my pet chicken, MillyBob.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really don't do favorites....why narrow the playing field? I like a wide range of everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took care of my husband, my soulmate, who had Alzheimer's for fourteen years. I gave him a life as happy and as positive as I could and I kept him here in his beloved Bali. I learned so much in those difficult and trying times and I experienced how deep love can go.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to share what I can about Bali, Alzheimer's, art, life experience. I'd like continue learning Italian and Indonesian and almost anything about food (although I don't eat red meat).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Same as above: I'm happy to share what I can about Bali, Alzheimer's, art, life experience.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand
