Hello! We live in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of New York City, where Susan works for Columbia University and Eric does research for a labor union. We are both VERY liberal politically. We enjoy food, arts and crafts, and nature. Most of our vacations involve lots of hiking and eating. We love animals, are vegetarians, and have a cat named Luna.

We are both politically engaged, although in different ways. Eric is very attuned to labor issues, both locally, nationally, and globally. Susan volunteers for two local animal rescue organizations. Mostly Susan does "foster care" work, bringing home home orphan kittens and giving them a place to grow and play until they are ready to be adopted. Susan is also very creative and does a lot of arts and crafts - woodworking, ceramics, printmaking, you name it!

A coworker recommended it, so we figured why not give it a try? We enjoy meeting new people and having new experiences.

We travel a lot for work. While it's nice to stay in a fancy hotel, you really don't get the real experience of the city or town you're in that way. It's so much more fun and personal to stay at a bed and breakfast, small family-run motel, or other local accommodations that are a little more intimate and down-to-earth. We're hoping to have more experiences like that through CS.

Susan says :
I'm pretty flexible in my musical tastes - I prefer letting other people choose the music at parties, since I'm happy with almost anything.
I love seeing movies, especially comedies. I also LOVE TV, even though my Dad always said it would rot my brain (sorry, Dad!).
I read a lot, mostly fiction. My favorite author right now is Flannery O'Connor.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Susan recently learned how to "throw" on a pottery wheel. She has also built most of the furniture in our apartment.

Susan can teach all kinds of crafts - woodworking, linocutting, ceramics. We also have a very easy recipe for baking bread. No need to knead! ;-)
