Hi! I'm an American student at the University of Oklahoma (Boomer!) and I'm currently studying abroad in Arezzo, Italy.
My passions are acting, dancing, and writing, but my new loves are traveling and trying new things! I love meeting new people and hearing about their experiences as well as telling them mine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is mainly for my travels on spring break, which include London, Dublin, and Edinburgh, but this is also for any spur-of-the-moment places I want to go to in the future!
I love the idea of Couchsurfing as a way to really experience a new culture and meet fantastic people along the way.
Acting. Dancing (tap, ballet, jazz, modern, flash mobs, you name it). Writing random essays and stories, comedy sketches, and my blog. Cartoons. Pugs. Outdoor cats. Cooking things that take less than 10 minutes. Eating everything. Sales. Walking. Pilates. Yoga. Knitting. Reading everything. Studying (kind of a forced interest, but whatever).

Music, Movies, and Books
My top 3 favorite bands from #1 to #3: U2, Dave Matthews Band, Fleetwood Mac.
I love any kind of alternative, whether it be The National, St. Vincent, Fitz and the Tantrums, Sleigh Bells, Blind Pilot, Dan Croll, etc.
I also love Bluegrass (Alison Krauss and Union Station is definitely the best), and the classics such as Elton, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd....also obsessed with Jazz, new and old: Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Tony Bennet, Dean Martin, Rosemary Clooney, Amy Winehouse, etc.
I could go on for days about movies, since it's part of my livelihood and all. My favorite screenwriters are Nora Ephron, Aaron Sorkin, and Tina Fey. A couple of my favorite directors are Martin Scorsese and David O. Russell. If someone asked me what my favorite movie was, I would automatically say When Harry Met Sally, but in all honesty I love a CRAP ton of movies.
Books are the same. I would have to say my favorites are anything by Gillian Flynn and Life of Pi. My favorite Stephen King book is a tie between The Green Mile and The Shining. I also love plays!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In this semester alone I've already done things I wouldn't even think of imagining a year ago: exploring Paris into the wee hours of the night, climbing the leaning tower of Pisa, trying the world's best wines, and tearing up in more cathedrals than I can count.
I can't wait for more amazing things to come, especially in the UK!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have taught aspects of the performing arts, and I will continue to be a student in this craft for the rest of my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm incredibly skilled at performing random bursts of improvised scenes, so-bad-it's-good interpretive dance, and the occasional accent (the one I have most experience in is Cockney/Estuary/RP, but please don't make fun of me if it's not up to par with the locals).
I can make a mean bowl of cereal. Just you wait.
