To make a circle across the United States and go to Burning man relying on the kindness of others!

ABOUT ME

So Kyle and I decided, not too long ago, that we'd take an adventure across the country. Not sure of how to go about doing this, we've talked with people, done research online, and adventured to a few places along the way. Come to find out, there are amazing people out there willing to share, not only their thoughts, but their couches! We'd like to meet new people of different kinds, and see new places in the most beautiful country on the face of the planet......the U.S.A!

PHILOSOPHY

You get what you put in! In any situation, from how you treat a gas station clerk, to how you treat the President, it will come back to you. I always think, 'How would i want to be treated in this situation' and from there i can make a decision.
This also can be applied in contribution. If you don't contribute to your community (i.e.- group of friends, church, work etc.) then you should not expect to get anything from it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've participated in the couch surfing project long before we were aware of an ACTUAL couch surfing project. We've met people at intersections and taken them in for just a few nights or even a week. It's amazing, who you can find out there and what will find you in the process. Hosting is going to be a main focus upon our return from the trip. What is better than meeting new people via your own couch!?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My roomate bought lunch for these kids that she met outside of Qudoba, and brought them back to our place to stay for a few nights. We have a pretty big house with 3 extra couches, so there was plenty of room for their dog, their cat, and themselves. After talking with them for a while, we found that they were on the road following The Dead. I have never met anyone like them in my life, and they've inspired our soon-to-be road trip in their own way.
