About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn how to love, how to live, and how to love to live.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the central valley of California and just played outside as much as possible. I ran track and field in junior college before transferring to Long Beach State University to finish my degree in Athletic Training. I have a passion for learning about the human body and how to fix it's musculoskeletal problems. I am trying to start a business that provides sports medicine services to youth sports organizations.

PHILOSOPHY

Positive breeds positive. The more I practice finding the positive in a negative situation, the fewer negative situations will occur.

Interests

Physical Activity (sports, hiking, exercise)
Music of all sorts (live music is my favorite)
Challenging myself in all aspect of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite. Gorgeous views, semi- challenging terrain, and good buddies made for a great experience.

Driving from Los Angeles, California through Canada to Fairbanks, Alaska and back in 2 weeks. It was beautiful and worth every minute and gallon of gas.

Teach, Learn, Share

No matter how good it feels to put heat on a recent injury, do not do it for at least the first 48 hours following the injury. Heat increases swelling and inflammation. Swelling and inflammation cause pain. Pain is no bueno.
Remember R.I.C.E.
R - rest: do not do anything that hurts the injured area
I - ice: ice bucket, ice pack, etc.
C - compress: wrap the injured area in a tight cloth without cutting off the circulation
E - elevate: hold the injured area above your heart
