ABOUT ME

Actually, I'm not used to describe myself. It's sometimes very difficult to avoid big words and present yourself as you are, because your friends can think about you something completely opposite to what you personally think. That's why I'd like to start with some formal information. I study international relations at the Moscow State Linguistic University in my fourth year, but at the moment I'm in Germany at the Johannes-Gutenberg Universität in Mainz as an exchange student. I've spent here 3 months already and at the end of february I'm going back to Moscow. I find Germany wonderful and really like it... but there is no place better than home. I miss my motherland.
Talking about my character... I'v always thought that I'm kind and heedful, but I open my soul and indulge in confidences only with my close friends - you can never be sure that unknown people won't use your kindness against you. Some of my frieds may say I tend to be bossy, though I can't understand, why. I'm responsible and hardwoking, and very often it's a disadvantage, because people know - if they want some task to be fulfilled, they can rely on me and I'll carry it through, and it is sometimes very difficult to say "no".

PHILOSOPHY

The only thing I can write here is that I'm completely sure - you should do today as much as possible, because tomorrow everything can be over, and it's better to regret about things you've done, than about lost chances which you'll never have again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Actually I had only one CouchSurfing experience in my life. It was in Dresden, where one young man agreed to host me and my friends. It was something completely new for me - to spend a night in an unknown house and sleep in the sleeping sack... All I can say now - it was interesting, as everything which happens for the first time.

Interests

I like foreign languages - I know english, german and french and like to watch films and read in the original, though my french is not as good as english and german.
Here, in Germany, I became fond of travelling. Together with my friends I've already visited 18 cities.
My free time I like to spend with my family or friends. So there is nothing special in my hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like classical litherature - both russian and european: Dostoyevsky, Bunin, Pushkin, Lermontov, Bulgakov, B. Vasiliev, Esenin, Duma, Stewenson, Twain. My favourite books, which I'm ready to read again and again, are "The Master and Margarita" and "Gone with the wind", because reading them I calm myself and find answers on all my questions. I'm fond of classical musik. I like to listen to it when I'm alone and it helps me to collect my thoughts. Also I like classical hollywood movies and old soviet films. My favourite actress is Audrey Hepburn.
You'll be right if you think that I like everything classical - very often it is so.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's very difficult. I can't remember anything amazing I've done... But I can name 3 wonderful and exciting places I've seen in Germany - it is Cologne Cathedral, Castle Neuschwanstein and the whole town Rothenburg-ob-der-Tauber - an island of the romantic Middle Ages in the center of Europe.
