About Me

Hi, I'm Tasha from the Philippines. I am currently in France chasing my dreams from high school. I am currently unable to accept any guests as I am living with a host family myself. But if you're near my area in France, I can definitely meet up and show you around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I could not believe it at first when I first heard about the idea, the philosophy behind Couchsurfing. But as I traveled and saw more of the world, I realized that there is so much more to a city than just hotel rooms and touristy spots. When I travel, I like to immerse myself to how the locals live. I want to know where the locals buy their bread or where they shop for their everyday meals. I want to know which cafe is the cozy one, the one not crowded by tourists. I want to know where people gather during sunset and what other things they do afterwards. The list could go on... and what better way to have all those answers than by sharing my travels with locals themselves.

Interests

I love good food. It doesn't have to be expensive. But I'm always in search of a good home-cooked delicacy from the places I visit. I also like music, movies, photography, art, museums, history, the beach, warm places, learning languages, and meeting new people (although I can be very shy and awkward at times).

Music, Movies, and Books

My music depends mostly with my mood. But I get my music fix mostly from the internet (i.e. Spotify or Youtube). Been listening to a lot of indie-folk-pop lately. But I'm also into RnB, Hiphop, Jazz, Soul, Alternative Rock, Indie Rock... the list is a bit long...

Movies = I still watch a healthy amount of animated films every now and then. Tim Burton is definitely an old-time favorite. I also like sci-fi fiction, thrillers, action, comedy, romance and historical drama films.

Books = I read almost anything that interests me. I started being a bookworm when my mom got me the Harry Potter series when I was 9 or 10. Now that I'm a bit older, I find myself reading Haruki Murakami, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie, Ransom Riggs and more. Most authors are contemporary though. I haven't explored much on the classics (shame on me!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably deciding to come to France alone. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to teach, learn, and share anything about culture. Food, practices, customs, anything! I can also teach you guys English if you wish! I'm more than willing to share any recipe with you (because I can cook!) if you're into Asian dishes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences, my stories, my culture. Ask me anything, really~
