ABOUT ME

Gentle, fun loving spirit, easy going. As comfortable in a tent as 5 star resort. Good conversationalist, inquisitive. I love to dance spontaneously, play with puppets in toy stores. Stuffed animals must pass the cuddle test before buying. I enjoy people of all ages. I am 52 yrs old and believe that now is the very best time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My daughter told me about couch surfing, and I think that it is a fabulous opportunity to meet people. Currently I am looking to surf, but I will expand my partcipation as time goes on.

Meeting people from all walks of life. I truly enjoy speaking with cab drivers and learning about their lives (past and present). I have had the priviledge of meeting some of the most interesting people in cabs. Listening to music - folk, indie, rock and roll, classical. Writing poetry, spoken word. Exploring cultures through food and trying new recipes.

I know the words to hundreds of songs, but please don't ask me the name of the artist or the band. I am a voracious reader, however I am most often reading books related to work, and if not, then I am reading espionage tales or searching out new recipes.

Working with people in crisis. It is truly an honour to be part of someone's journey. The strength of the human spirit is always inspiring. Being a mom! I have to children in their early twenties and I am amazed at their tenacity, courage and ability to embrace life. Auditioning as a host for a local talk show and being chosen. I no longer host the show - but what a wonderful experience. Whale watching in Nova Scotia, breathtaking.
