ABOUT ME

My name is Annika and I love to travel! Couch surfing is an amazing way to meet new people and make new friends all around the world.I am so excited to explore new places. I am extreamely open-minded and easy-going, respectful of other people and their things and expectations, and up for trying new things! Basically I'm in it for the experience. :)
I am very independent and fine with finding things to do on omy own, but at the same time are more than happy to do things with you and take any advice or ideas for things in your city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I am relatively new to CS, I am excited to try it out in more place, meet new people and see if I can get a taste of local life. I have only surfed once, in Croatia, but it was wonderful! My couch is currently unavailible because for the last year I have been at college, living in a dorm and now Im traveling this summer and moving to Paris in the fall. If I could host I would!

Interests

I love art and music. I graduated from an arts highschool and have many hobbies in photography and painting. Traveling is a huge one for me! Ive been to Asia, Europe twice and Mexico, but I cant wait to do more.
I just finished my first year at college in Washington and I am studying International Business and Culinary (with an emphasis on organic and eco/sustainable living)
My next big move is to go to Paris for a year to be an au pair.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was younger I was a student ambassador in Europe, after my first year in high school I went to China on a mission trip to help an elementary school. After I graduated I went backpacking through Europe for two months with a best friend which was amazing and how I got introduced to couchsurfing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I went to an art school, so I have background in drawing, painting, photography, music, henna art, and dance. I would love to share my knowledge and would love even more to learn new art techniques or styles.
I also know a fair bit about composting, kind of random, but useful all the same. I have done internships in museums with art and in the education department as well as in a jewelery store.
