PHILOSOPHY

There's some quote I like that goes something like this: "Do everything with passion. It's the only thing that's authentic." I think everyone should do their best to do whatever it is they love, while helping others to achieve their goals. What's the point of attaining all the wealth in the world if there's no one to share it with?

At the same time, etched in the back of my mind, I have Justin's dad's quote: "In 5 billion years the sun will burn out and nothing you did will matter. Feel better?" haha

Regardless, I think it's worth trying to live life to its fullest.

I've only just started. I haven't settled anywhere yet but wherever I am I like to meet new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently CouchSurfed for the first time and had a positive experience. I was surprised my host took me in because at the time my profile was empty, but it turned out to be a great setup, and a great experience!

Interests

Making good friends, eating good food, drinking milk tea, playing PIU (Pump It Up), going to concerts, hiking, indoor rock climbing, running, snowboarding, snorkeling, sightseeing, chilling in a cafe that has wi-fi, anything new?

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: from what I can remember these are the ones I enjoyed and could re-watch: Beauty and the Beast, She's All That, The Princess and the Frog, District 9, Disturbia...

Music: R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, Instrumental (in English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese)

Books: recently read The Alchemist and liked it. Other than that, I enjoy reading the news. It fuels me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bungee jumped near and camped/climbed an un-renovated section of the Great Wall...

I wandered around the Taroko National Park by myself for a while...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you English, characteristics of good customer service and random stuff I know!

Learn: I want to eventually perfect my Mandarin, and also be able to speak Cantonese fluently. I want to try yummy dishes and write down the ingredients and steps so one day I can make it myself.

Share: I can tell you lots about where I come from and where I've been--that is, the States, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan--from the transportation systems to the cultural differences. I'd love to share my ideas about them with others.
