ABOUT ME

My life right now is a real dream! I work with lots of young people who love to travel, and be active! I run the kitchen at a little Mexican restaraunt at a ski resort called Northstar at Tahoe-, so I get to ride for free and chase serious California powder! In the summer I look forward to kayaking on beautiful Lake Tahoe (which I can see from my room, kitchen and can literally throw a rock in from the backyard!) My goal is to work hard during the tourist seasons so I can travel during the off seasons and visit with people I've met along the way. I dream of being a cook as a profession and would love to seek out more schooling when I can afford it!

PHILOSOPHY

Work to live- don't live to work! I would much rather be rich in experience than rich in material goods! This might sound cheesy, but I totally believe it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roommates and i have hosted plenty of people, some for days, others weeks at our place in Tahoe! It would be awesome to host even more people through this website.
The best experiences I have had traveling are due to the recommendations of others. Couch surfing will totally add to finding great local places and really learning about the people and culture in each city

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had mostly great experiences. But unfortunately one pretty bad experience where someone stayed with us for over a month with her dog. The responsibilities of the dog fell to us and the girl basically took advantage of us, and we all felt used.
The only way couch surfing can be successful is when the surfers appreciate the hospitality and everyone treats each other with respect.

Interests

Food! I love to eat and try new things! I enjoying trying new things at restaurants and tying to figure out how it was made and what's it! But mostly I love to eat!!
Enjoy snowboarding, sledding, hiking, biking and especially long boarding! I'd love to try surfing, and I seriously need to workon my wake boarding skills.
I love to let loose and dance!
