CURRENT MISSION

To surf my way to all the major triathlons and marathons in the US!

ABOUT ME

I've lived in 4 countries and have been in the US for the last 12 years. My parents were travelers, so they didn't hesitate to take me out of school and off to another trip. I've visited India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Doha, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, France, Hungary, England, Scotland, Canada and the US Virgin Island, and I'm still not sure if that's the entire list!

I'm also a triathlete. In the last 2 years, I've competed in 18 triathlons, 2 half Ironmans, and just finished my first Ironman in Lake Placid! Triathlons and marathons will take me across the US for the next couple of years.

I'm very neat and clean, respectful of others, and have no allergies or issues with sleeping on a bed, couch, floor or stairs (maybe not stairs :-))

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very aware of the fact that I'm 31 years old, unmarried and with a great job and career. I'm delighted for it, and am determined to live my life to the fullest for the next several years before settling down with a family.

I'm new to CouchSurfing, but have heard wonderful things from my friends about it, some of whom host as well. I hope to be able to host in the near future!

High Fidelity, The Hunt for Red October, Moonrise Kingdom, most independent movies and documentaries. Currently reading Born to Run by Steve Jurker. I used to be a guitarist in a band, so describing my music tastes will take a few hours.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just finished the Ironman! And that after having learned how to swim less than 2 years ago. Am now working on scuba diving all over the country (just back from Hawaii) and will work on my sky diver's license this summer.
