About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet some new friends and gain confidence to travel alone

ABOUT ME

I joined Couch Surfing to become more confident and regain that zest for life! I grew up with a nice family and friends, I never liked people telling me I can't do this or achieve that! I would like to do some traveling alone, but I'm a bit scared/excited about leaving everything behind, but I know I have to. I enjoy hearing funny and interesting stories. I love people who have a passion for something/anything and are curious to explore. I'd like to be really really good at something. I like design, bicycles and laughing!

PHILOSOPHY

Embrace failure - It means it's okay to fail but not okay to not try.

Flowers are for the Living - Obvious really, we spend lots giving flowers to those who have died, give them while their alive!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to share my interests and experiences with other people both online and in person.

I'd love to explore some new places with new people. Get in touch and hopefully we can :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently I have no couch surfing experience, but I hope to join a Cambridge couch surfing meet up in the new year! I would like to meet some new friends to open my mind some more and eventually go couch surfing and host others.

Interests

Design, art and architecture most specifically 1900 onwards. Riding my bike both commuting and for fun. Running outside and the treadmill, skipping really fast, football is fun but I'm not pele! Tennis all sports I enjoy. Reading blogs and forums, I really like looking on the photo website - Flickr Making people laugh and be happy is nice! Watching people who are really really good at one thing do that thing. Drawing, photography, sculpture, eating delicious food, going to the pub/bar. Everything is interesting when explained in a good way!

Music, Movies & Books

I'm not a huge movie, music or literature buff! Saying that I liked the film City of God, Riding Giants, Bicycle film called Monday is good check it out on YouTube. I like to watch nature and travelling programs and some sport.

Music. . . anything is good at the right moment, I have a lot of music but I'm not very knowledgeable. Bob Marley on a sunny Sunday morning is hard to beat.

I'd like to read a few more books so maybe this community can help. Currently I read cycling, travel and design magazines and blogs. I'm always amazed how good the information is that online media has created.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Maybe it's not "amazing" but I always remember happily a nice day with my friends in Milan having a great BBQ on a campsite - sunshine, friends, talking, beer, food, relax!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new things but I find it difficult, I wish I could learn a new language like many couch surfers that would be a dream, any language is good.

I guess I could help you with English, I could show you Cambridge. I could teach you how to build a bicycle and I could show you the 3D program SketchUp. Maybe I can make you laugh!
