I love nature, am forever interested in learning new skills and getting to know new people. I'm currently in between homes, doing an internship an environmental organisation in Murmansk (I'm currently studying for a Master's in Env. Policy in Tampere University). I lived in the U.K. for almost a decade, after which I moved back to my native Finland to lead a simpler life in the countryside.

I'm a friendly and relaxed sort of person, open to new things and having fun - but these days more the chilled-out, natural variety. Not so much pubs, clubs, loud music and alcohol and all that any more...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a great invention, as it enables people to travel on a low budget and make friends with locals in the places they go to: a much deeper insight into the local culture than you'd get as a regular tourist.

I currently have nowhere to invite guests into, but once I'm back from my travels and settled into Finland again, I am planning to open my home for couchsurfers.

(I haven't been at all active on Couchsurfing over the last few years, hence the lack of references, friends etc..)

Interests

You get the picture..! I'm interested in becoming more self-sufficient by growing and gathering some of the food I eat and learning skills in these areas, as well as e.g. building and renovation.
