About Me

CURRENT MISSION

6 months - 1 year, probably Southeast Asia, maybe Scandinavia

ABOUT ME

I've been doing the entrepreneurship thing for the past 6 years in Baltimore, MD, but I'm ready to see the world and figure out what's next.

PHILOSOPHY

Improve yourself so that you have more to give.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think this is an amazing project. At the moment the best way I've come up with to participate is to be an enthusiastic and respectful guest wherever I go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

Interests

Scuba diving! I've been in the Dominican Republic and Aruba so far. I am also interested in philosophy, psychology and economics. I'm hoping to improve my skills in cooking and languages while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Everything except horror
Music: I like most music, but especially trip-hop, string rock (like Apocalyptica), and 90's alternative rock (yay high school-era music!).
Books: I read pretty voraciously, mostly non-fiction about people and improving life, but I also enjoy science and historical fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing trips I took was with my family as a child - we took the train from Chicago to Salt Lake City. It was a 4 day trip through every kind of terrain. From narrow tracks on the side of mountains, across hours and hours of corn fields, through tunnels blasted through mountains with C4 a hundred years ago - it was a truly amazing trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

Here are some things that I've taught people on a fairly regular basis:

* The basics of how a neuron works and lots of crazy facts about brain research.
* How to drive a manual transmission car.
