See law schools and do research at the GLBT Historical Society!
I am a 27 year old student applying to Law School. I am shy and reserved at first, but really am a social creature waiting to be engaged. I am currently looking at law schools and doing research for my Honors History Thesis. I am exploring gay men serving in combat and "masculine" jobs. I am seeking to see if/when they could serve 'openly' and what their straight comrades in arms felt about it.
I am a vegetarian, only a commitment away from vegan, but I really like ice cream. I love good coffee, a result of my tenure with starbucks. I like smart witty television, good movies, historical, biographical and political books. I am active, and somewhat of an over achiever. I'm pretty private and do my own thing, though not in a cold disconnected way - at least I'd like to think. I am a reasonable conversationalist, and am always interested in learning.
"A great nation is like a great man:
When he makes a mistake, he realizes it.
Having realized it, he admits it.
Having admitted it, he corrects it.
He considers those who point out his faults as his most benevolent teachers.
He thinks of his enemy as the shadow that he himself casts."
-Lao-Tzu translation Stephen Mitchell
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have never actually participated in the CS project, though I have many friends who swear by it. I am tentative to stay in the home of someone I have never previously met, but these friends all assure me that the system works well and that there are a lot of incredible people in this network.
none, unfortunately. This will be my first try in the CS Project. I've stayed on friends couches before. I'm usually up early and tidy up my space.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've overcome some adversities in my life, though there are those who overcome far greater adversity than I could ever imagine enduring.
