ABOUT ME

I recently graduated from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor and I live on an island off the coast of Maine off-grid in a yurt I built myself. I'm pretty much a 21st century gnome in the woods :) Unfortunately, This living situation makes me unable to host people in the winter, but I am happy to open my yurt to the brave-hearted in the summer!

I work as a carpenter for a building company and love making things-- houses, dinners, friendships, hand-knit socks, crafty nic-nacs, etc. I studied and am in love with natural history and the natural world, and love spending time outside, which has inspired much art and poetry. I'm just looking to see as much of the world as I can and have fun with life!

Interests

I love learning about the culture of wherever I am saying. I love experiencing local life when I travel. I'd love to see your favorite cafe, local grocery store, favorite walking path, local tv, etc! I am interested in homesteading and farming, and am always thinking how I will do this long-term in the future. I do a lot of art and write poetry often. Let's play music together! I play guitar and cello :) I love hiking, biking, and being outside. I loooove to cook, and am always happy to share recipes! Interests are endless!

All the classic series (Lord of the Rings, Happy Potter, Indiana Jones, Star Wars) I like action and adventure movies-- they are my easy go-to. I like all sorts of movies. A cozy night in with a new movie and new friends sounds great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Madagascar for 3 months doing ant biodiversity research. We went on a 10 day expedition in the field where we lived in tents during a powerful cyclone, wading through a river with machetes over our heads, collecting ants!
