About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I recently moved from my beloved Portland, Oregon to Atlanta, Georgia. My resulting unemployment has given me some time to travel, and I'm trying to take advantage of that.

ABOUT ME

I care about humor and enjoy funny people, especially those who like word play and wit. I don't always know how to navigate social situations, but I enjoy unlikely conversations and honest interactions. I'm a little bit feisty and love to debate ideas. I am very open to having my ideas challenged, and love smart people. I try to always be respectful and understanding.

PHILOSOPHY

Always be questioning. Actually listen. Attitude is more important than circumstance. Use words wisely, they mean things. Laugh liberally. Don't ever assume people are "just like you."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host people right now, but I would love to meet up with people. I am still new to Atlanta, so we can discover the city together.

Interests

I love the water. I like boating and swimming. I love being outdoors, but mostly in a casual way (day hike vs month long backpacking trip). I am a theatre artist. I enjoy actors, musicians, visual artists, anyone with a craft and a love of art. I do theatre with teenagers in the summer and am interested in using theatre as a tool to discuss important issues, as well as to teach.
