About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm Louisa Sylva, I'm from Saint-Denis which is situated near Paris (10 minutes with the metro). I've african origins (Senegal and Guinea Bissau). I was living in Port-au-Prince (Haiti) during almost 2 yrs. Currently, I came back to France and am living with my sister. I'm working with out-of-school youth. I help them to find a job or work on a professional project.
I love to laugh and make people laugh even if I don't speak the same language. I love learning about others' culture especially through the music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Sao Paulo, every last saturday of the month, every samba "aficionados" are meeting in what they called "Rua do Samba Paulista". I learnt to dance samba, I met a lot of cool people who were sharing more that dance. I danced all night long! That was awesome!

During my first volunteering mission in Haiti, I lived in a countryside. What struck me is the haitian hospitality. In just 3 weeks, they make me feel like home. They greet me like a member of their family. They teached me everything I know now about the haitian's culture, like their language "kreyol".
