ABOUT ME

Tanya and Andy met while attending University in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and have been together almost 3 years. Both of us are teachers and love the beach, music and experiencing new adventures. We recently returned from a year spent working on organic farms in Hawaii. We are both teachers and both dream of traveling the world and teaching people from many different cultures. We have a positive and fun loving vibe which we love to share with everyone we meet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are waiting for Andy's Indonesian Work Visa to go through and would love to find a jumping off point somewhere in Indo while we wait. We are looking to spend about month or two but are very open ended and flexible if our Workaway location is in Bali, which is where we are going to soon end up. Having both done work exchange programs abroad we believe that this is the perfect way to acclimate oneself to the culture and vibe off a new location.

Interests

Tanya is a great teacher and loves to work with children.Tanya has recently completed her Masters degree in Literacy and Language and also has a B.A in Education.She was a coordinator for an outreach program for five years that targeted low socioeconomic children in government housing. She is sweet nurturing and loves to cook, clean and do yoga.
Andy is also a teacher and waiting for his work visa to go through for a job in Denpasar, Bali. He has traveled, lived and WOOFed all over the world and is excited about coming to Indo for his very first time. Andy enjoys surfing, diving, and playing guitar.
