I grew up in Toronto before studying Chemistry at McGill University in Montreal. After my degree, I decided to travel, and have been spending my time in Southeast Asia and Australia over the last 18 months. In Australia my boyfriend and I bought a 4x4 and have been sleeping in the back while doing the "Big Lap" around the country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We sleep in the back of our 4x4 most nights, however when we're in big cities it's hard to find camping spots. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people, while also getting to see the city from a locals perspective. It definitely beats a caravan park!

Interests

I spend my spare time reading, listening to music and hanging out with friends. In high school I was a competitive volleyball player, but I also love snowboarding in the winter, and scuba diving at every opportunity. In Australia, my boyfriend and I spend a lot of our time trying to find awesome off-roading tracks. We're always interested in finding people to join us!

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is very varied, and broad, I'm not picky, but I'm also not a huge fan of top 40's. I'm not a huge movie-goer, especially during the last year living out of a car. As for reading, I like to keep up to date with world events, and particularly scientific achievements and breakthroughs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Over the last year, we've had some amazing experiences, from spending Christmas on a deserted beach near Coral Bay, to driving through some amazing off-roading tracks. One of my favourite experiences was scuba diving the Navy Pier in Exmouth, Western Australia.
