Overview
About Me
I was born in Oregon and moved to Hawaii at 18. After I got my science degree and spent time working in that field I got a little restless. Et voila! I became an Engilsh Teacher. Since that time I've lived in Spain, then went back to Hawaii and now I'm living in Korea. However, Hawaii will always be home, especially since my parents are retiring there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to meet fun, adventurous people who also love to travel. Playing tour guide can be fun and actually forces me to enjoy where I am living. Without that, I can get wrapped up in like and I tend to forget about all the cool things around me.
Interests
Animals, music and art. I also enjoy the outdoors, I love hiking, bicycling, snorkeling, SCUBA diving but my favorite is just laying on a beach. I try to stay active though, I love going to the gym and to kickboxing classes.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. I've been a DJ for a long time. I'll tell you a secret though. I LOVE watching live music. Shhh. Don't tell anyone.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've SCUBA dove to greater than 100 feet deep. Ziplined at over 500 ft. Backpacked through most of Central America alone. Long live the chicken buses.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to meet up with any Hispanohablantes! I'm afraid I'm loosing my Spanish speaking skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a generous person so I would be happy helping a host anyway I can. Also, when I'm back home I can offer a blow up mattress inside (or a tent in the yard if someone prefers) when I'm in Hawaii. I mean, someone could crash the fold out in my tiny studio in Seoul too but Hawaii is way better. Right?
