ABOUT ME
I enjoy being self-motivated. In my earlier years I studied economics, mathematical methods, information technology, computer programming, cybernetics while supporting myself with job in the Institute of the Scientific and Technical Information. Additional studies included post graduate study at the Institute of Economics; I have PhD (Candidate of Science) the field of Economic and Mathematical Methods. Later I was enrolling as a student and then a teacher of the Public University of Informatics.
PHILOSOPHY
Having worked with all kinds of people in various fields, I can relate to a variety of students, staff, and community members. Out of these diverse experiences I learned to become very adaptable.
And still there is so much more to learn! Each year I learn and refine techniques by teaming with different library specialists, working in different programs, and continuing my personal research.
My journey through the courses of the Library and Information Science School at the University of Iowa has been a challenging adventure. I’m not sure where my journey will end, may be never. As a researcher, I think, I have never finished, I am always seeking...

My teaching skills and library research finally will grow together in my special project which focuses on providing information literacy instruction to students.
I see the best way to ensure that students have the skills that they need is to design an information literacy program integrated into the curriculum and built on strong alliances between classroom faculty and library faculty. At the heart of course will be important partnerships between librarians and writing centers which might be both enriching and politically valuable as we move into a new academic era marked by interdisciplinary conversation and increasingly networked knowledges.
